COMPLETELY SAVED

What God has done for you through your baptism into Christ is truly AMAZING!

Read:

Colossians 1:21-23

Development:

The apostle Paul in this verse is making reference to us that all of us prior to receiving the Lord Jesus as our teacher as our guide, and that prior to baptism, we were absolutely all enemies of God, not because he chose him, but because of The reason for being submerged in a life full of temptations, by being submerged in what was normal for us until then, we were allowing sin to enter and rule our lives, because of our weaknesses. (Disobedience of the word of GOD).

I reflect and respond.

1. What was your relationship with God before today? What had he done to make God his enemy?

2. What does it mean to be holy, blameless, and without accusation?

3. What condition exists to keep us saved (Colossians 23)?

Read:

1 John 3:1-4

Development:

The apostle John urges us to think and reflect on the immensity of the love of GOD. For us, that for us, mere humans, mortals, finite,   for whom it is impossible to be in the presence of HIM, he purified us and gave us the right to be called children of God, through the sacrifice of his Only Begotten Son, JESUS, who paid the price of our ransom with his life, pouring out his great and enduring enormous scourges.

In addition, John tells us that despite his wonders, men did not get to know him, and this can be explained, since the people of that time were only looking for someone to cure their illnesses and ailments, but they were not looking for the son of God. to the Messiah.

Something similar is happening today, they do not know us because they did not know him first, this means that the world, people who are not Christians and even some who claim to be Christians, do not really know us, because they do not they knew Jesus first,  we who are about to meet him must maintain an impeccable conduct, we must remain in hope, trying not to sin, trying to be pure, with conviction and certainty that if we achieve this we will be similar to Jesus, whom in due time we will know him as he is.

I reflect and respond:

1. As a “child of God,” what should  be your attitude?

2. How can you begin to purify yourself?

Read:

Hebrews 9:24-28;  Hebrews 10:19-23

Development:

In these verses, we can see how Paul tells us that Jehovah, upon seeing us his creation, his mortal children, who were dead in crimes of sin, manifesting his enormous grace, decided to send his only son, Jesus, to this dying world. , who was born of a virgin, grew up with his family, had siblings, worked with his earthly father, (non-biological Pope), and who at 30 years of age was baptized by John the Baptist, his earthly cousin, who from the His mother's womb recognized him while he was still unborn.

Let us remember that Juan had already been announcing his arrival, since the Lord decided to start his ministry.

From the moment of his Baptism by the waters and the spirit, the ministry of Jesus began, and his first two disciples were the only two disciples that John the Baptist had, who upon seeing the wonders that happened decided to follow him.

From that moment Jesus began to preach the gospel, walked in this world, demonstrating to all his glory, and his power, because in him lived the fullness of the holy spirit.

Throughout his three years of ministry, Jesus taught us that we must obey our heavenly Father, Jehovah.

Jesus, at all times showed us the path we must follow,  in these verses, just as he did with the Jewish people, the apostle Paul sanctions us to lead a life similar to the one that I carry Jesus while he was with us in this world, who despite all the vicissitudes that humanity put him through, he stood firm in the word of GOD, in obedience, in surrender and in faith.

I reflect and respond:

1. What has Jesus' sacrifice done for you?

2. How can you approach God with a sincere heart?

Read:

Psalm 103:1-5

Development:

Here we can see how the psalmist David shows us what we have to do daily for the rest of our lives.

It teaches us that we must adore and glorify God, every day, but not only with our body, but we must order our soul to bless Jehovah and not forget any of his benefits.

This must be our daily attitude.

I reflect and respond

What has God done with your sins? List other "benefits" you have received from God (Psalm 103:2)
